Our seller policy is designed to ensure trust, mutual growth, and clarity in business practices while enabling sellers to reach customers across the country efficiently.
By registering as a seller on BharatEV, you agree to adhere to this Seller Policy, ensuring a professional and enriching experience for all parties involved.
1. Seller Registration
To sell on BharatEV, all sellers must complete the registration process.
Eligibility: Sellers must be individuals, businesses, or authorized representatives of electric vehicle brands operating in compliance with Indian laws.
Documents Required:
- GSTIN (PDF)
- PAN Card- PDF/JPEG (Individual/Company)
- Cancelled Cheque Soft Copy (PDF/JPEG)
- Business Registration Certificate- PDF (if applicable)
- Authorized Dealer Certificate- PDF (if selling branded electric vehicles)
Account Setup: Sellers must provide accurate business information, contact details, and bank account details for payouts.
Verification: All submitted documents will be verified before account approval. Sellers will be notified of the account activation status within 2-5 business days.
Note: BharatEV reserves the right to reject applications that do not meet the required criteria.
2. Product Listing Guidelines
To ensure a user-friendly and trustworthy shopping experience, sellers must comply with the following guidelines when listing products:
2.1 Eligible Products
Only electric vehicles and accessories are allowed for listing on BharatEV, including:
- Electric Scooters
- Electric Bikes
- Electric Cycles
- Electric Vehicle Accessories (Chargers, Batteries, Spare Parts, etc.)
- Other EV Products as approved by the platform
2.2 Product Information
Sellers must provide clear and complete product information:
- Title: Accurate product name including brand, model, and key specifications.
- Description: Comprehensive product details including features, specifications, range, battery capacity, warranty, and more.
- Images: High-quality images in 1000X1000 PX (minimum 3) showing different product angles.
- Price: Transparent pricing with applicable taxes.
- Brand Details: Sellers must list products under their respective brand names.
- Stock Status: Sellers must update stock availability regularly.
2.3 Prohibited Content
Listing counterfeit, unauthorized, or misleading products is strictly prohibited.
Misleading images, descriptions, or claims will result in product removal and account suspension.
3. Pricing and Commission Structure
BharatEV provides a competitive commission structure to ensure mutual profitability:
- Product Commission: A pre-agreed percentage will be deducted from each sale. The commission rates depend on product categories and will be shared with sellers during onboarding.
- Pricing: Sellers are responsible for setting product prices. Prices must include GST and other applicable taxes.
- Discounts: Sellers can participate in promotional campaigns or offer discounts after prior approval from BharatEV.
- Payments: Payments will be processed to the seller’s registered bank account within 10-15 business days after the product is delivered successfully to the buyer.
4. Inventory Management
Sellers must maintain accurate and updated inventory levels to avoid order cancellations:
- Inventory Updates: Sellers should regularly update stock levels in the seller dashboard.
- Out-of-Stock Products: If a product is unavailable, sellers must mark it as "Out of Stock" to prevent customer dissatisfaction.
- Auto-Cancellations: Repeated order cancellations due to stock unavailability may lead to account suspension.
5. Order Management and Fulfillment
Sellers are responsible for ensuring prompt and professional fulfillment of customer orders:
- Order Acceptance: Sellers must confirm orders within 24 hours of receiving them.
- Packaging Standards: Products must be securely packed to prevent damage during transit. Proper branding and labeling as per BharatEV guidelines are mandatory.
- Dispatch Time: Sellers must dispatch orders within 2-4 business days of order confirmation.
- Shipping Policy: BharatEV will collaborate with reliable courier/logistics partners for delivery. Alternatively, sellers may use their preferred logistics partner with prior intimation.
- Order Tracking: Sellers must provide shipment tracking details to BharatEV for transparency.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Warranty
Ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority for BharatEV. Sellers must adhere to the following guidelines:

Returns: Customers may return products under these conditions:
- Defective or damaged on arrival
- Mismatch of product specifications
- Return Process: Sellers must inspect returned products and approve returns within 5 business days.
- Refunds: Refunds will be processed after the returned product passes quality checks. The refund amount will be deducted from the seller's payout.
- Warranty Policy: Sellers must clearly specify warranty details (period, terms, and service centers) in product listings.
- Non-Returnable Products: Sellers must highlight products that are not eligible for returns (e.g., customized products).
7. Seller Performance Metrics
To maintain quality standards, seller performance will be regularly monitored based on the following metrics:
- Order Fulfillment Rate: Timely acceptance and dispatch of orders.
- Customer Feedback: Ratings and reviews from customers.
- Return Rate: Percentage of orders returned due to seller errors.
- Cancellations: Orders canceled due to stock or seller-related issues.
Sellers must maintain a minimum performance threshold to continue selling on BharatEV. Poor performance may lead to penalties, account suspension, or delisting.
8. Code of Conduct
All sellers must adhere to ethical business practices while operating on BharatEV:
- Accuracy: Provide genuine product information.
- Transparency: Avoid deceptive pricing, descriptions, or claims.
- Professionalism: Maintain respectful communication with customers and BharatEV representatives.
- Compliance: Operate in compliance with Indian laws, including GST regulations, e-commerce norms, and consumer protection laws.
Violations of this code may result in penalties, including temporary or permanent account suspension.
9. Seller Support
BharatEV offers dedicated support to ensure smooth seller operations:
- Account Management: Dedicated account managers for large-scale sellers.
- Training: Guidance on product listings, dashboard usage, and order management.
- Technical Support: Assistance for any platform-related issues.
- Dispute Resolution: BharatEV will mediate in case of disputes between sellers and customers.
10. Termination of Seller Account
BharatEV reserves the right to terminate a seller’s account under the following circumstances:
- Repeated policy violations
- Selling counterfeit or unauthorized products
- High order cancellations or return rates
- Non-compliance with Indian e-commerce laws
Sellers can also request account termination by providing 30 days' written notice. All pending orders must be fulfilled before account closure.
11. Amendments to the Seller Policy
BharatEV reserves the right to amend or update this Seller Policy at any time. Sellers will be notified of any significant changes via email or through their seller dashboard.
